Flashcard Maker 2.0

Free online Flash-based flash card maker from Cambridge English Online. Prints directly from the web, but has no save feature. It has a library of images (professionally drawn line drawings) for basic words such as house or cow or woman. You have the option to draw your own images, though, and type in your own text, either in the English alphabet or in phonemic script via an onscreen phonemic typewriter.

I use this to make Nitoy's basic vocabulary cards in Filipino (Tagalog), whose orthography isfor the most part the same as English. There doesn't seem to be a way to input the tilde, though. I also tried to input Chinese and Japanese, to no avail. I would use this with a preschooler if I didn't have ready-made cards such as the ones from Calvert Pre-K and K.
